Attestation of Documents
Important Notice:-
Signature should match as per the passport in each and every documents and forms. If the signs do not match, applications will be rejected.
Authorised persons have to submit their HKID copies (SELF ATTESTED) along with the Authorisation Letter
1.) With effect from June 15th 2015, Consulate General of India, Hong Kong has outsourced the following attestation services to M/s BLS International Services Limited.
a). Domestic Helper Contract
b). Attestation of Documents, and
c). Company Documents
2.) However, for following services applicants may approach the Consulate General of India, Hong Kong located at Unit D, 16th Floor, United Centre, 95, Queensway, Admiralty, Hong Kong (submission of documents from 9-30AM to 12-30PM and delivery of documents from 4-30PM to 5-30PM):-
a). Power of Attorney
b). Birth/Marriage Affidavit
c). Life Certificate.
3.) All applicants for attestation of documents at (1) above are advised to approach
BLS International Services Limited at:-

Submission of Visas Applications : 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (QMS ticket will be issed till 1.00 PM) Monday - Friday except designated holidays.

5.) Please note that in addition to the Attestation fee, a service fee of HK$ 47 will be charged by BLS international for each application. Value added services (VAS) are optional services and will be charged separately, if the applicant chooses to avail those services. Applicants are free to avail these services from other places of their choice also.
NOTE:
In case the applicant cannot come in person for the services mentioned below he/she may authorize a person who may submit/receive documents on his/her behalf. (CLICK HERE FOR COPY OF SAMPLE AUTHORISATION FORM). All copies attached to the application must be self-attested.

Note | The helper wage has to be not less than HKD 4630 and food allowance not less than HKD 1173. No mistake/ overwriting or white ink is allowed on the form (No amendment of any sort will be allowed.) |

2(A) NEW JOINING (FIRST TIME WORKING IN HONG KONG):
If any letters have to be written it has to be addressed to: There is no overwriting, corrections, or white ink used. NOTE: 1 ADDRESS OF THE HELPER ON THE CONTRACT FORM SHOULD MATCH THE ADDRESS ON THE HELPER'S PASSPORT. 2 THERE SHOULD BE TWO DIFFERENT WITNESSES. Min. NOTE : Care should be taken to avoid cutting/overwriting, to avoid rejection of documents by local authorities. The minimum salary fixed by local authorities is HKD 4630 and food allowance is HKD 1173.

Documents required : |
(1) Original Document to be attested (2) Copy of the Document to be attested SELF ATTESTED (3) Original HKID(in case of non permanent HKID then HK visa page also). (4) Copy of the HKID SELF ATTESTED (5) Original Passport (6) Copy of the Passport front and back page SELF ATTESTED (7) Application LETTER( Addressed to Consulate General of India) stating the reason for attestation and the list of documents. (8) Original OCI ( if applicable) (9) Copy of the OCI SELF ATTESTED (if applicable) (10) Authorisation letter (if applicable) (11) Copy of the HKID of the Authorised person SELF ATTESTED(in case of non permanent HKID then HK visa page and passport copy front and back also). IMPORTANT NOTE: (i) If documents to be attested are issued in India, then, first they have to be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), India. (ii) If documents to be attested are issued in Hong Kong, then, first they have to be Notarised by a Hong Kong Notary Public. (iii) Documents submitted by foreign nationals are required to be Notarised by a Hong Kong Notary Public before submitting to the Consulate General of India. (iv) If need to attest Original Death Certificate (issued by Hong Kong Authorities), it has to be first Apostilled by the Hong Kong High Court and the passport has to be CANCELLED first from the Consulate General of India, Hong Kong ( United Centre, Admiralty). The Cancelled Passport copy has to be attached with the documents. (vi) Attestation of Marriage Certificates issued in Hong Kong for the purpose of OCI Applications have to be first Apostilled by the Hong Kong High court. (vii) The Affidavits and POA to be attested have to be in a plain white sheet of paper. Not on Revenue stamped papers or any other paper. (viii) Indian passport holders doing Affidavits and POA have to go to The Consulate General of India, United Centre, 16/F, Admiralty. NOTE : The normal duration for grant of service is minimum three working days. However, in cases of proven urgency, rendering of express service is considered on payment of an Additional Fees of HKD 200/-. However, the documents are in order and acceptance or rejection is solely on the discretion of the Consulate General of India, Hong Kong.
2. Documents submitted by foreign nationals/executed abroad are required to be attested by a notary public before being presented at the Consulate for Attestation.

Documents required : |
(1) Letter on Company letterhead with the company chop from the company stating the list of Documents to be attested and also the reason for getting them done. (2) Authorisation letter (3) Copy of the HKID of the Authorised person SELF ATTESTED(in case of non permanent HKID then passport front and back page and HKvisa page also). (4) Original Document to be attested (duly notarized by a Hong Kong Notary Public) (5) Copy of the Document to be attested (copy made after notarising) SELF ATTESTED by the authorised signatory. (6) In case of Power of Attorney, POA has to be Notarised by a Hong Kong Notary Public. A clear photograph affixed on the POA which also must be Notarised by the Notary Public. A second photograph (same as on the original POA) to be stuck on the photocopy of the notarized POA. The authorised person must carry the Executant's Original Passport, OCI (if applicable) and HKID for verification at the time of submission. Also make sure the names of all persons mentioned on the POA are same as their Passports.
